Ms Shristi Borthakur & Mr Rahul Jagannathan appeared for the wife and had argued that the Madras High Court over-ruled the judgement of the family court without assigning any cogent reasons and had overlooked the documents relied upon by the wife and the cross examination of the husband. Accepting the said contentions, the Supreme Court had allowed the special leave petition filed by the wife & dismissed the appeal filed by the husband. Mr Rahul Jagannathan represents the wife before the trial court & the High court for the maintenance application & all connected cases.
